BARN CONVERSIONS – Including single barn conversion projects through to designs and contract administration of large farm steading conversion projects with total contract values in excess of £2,500,000.

LARGE COUNTRY HOUSES – Involving significant consideration of conservation matters in connection with refurbishment and often the Listed status of the property.

At Smith Marston, we pride ourselves on providing a high quality and responsive service to our clients in connection with architectural services, refurbishment and contract administration. Whether residential or commercial, the starting point of any successful architectural or refurbishment scheme is to fully understand the client’s aspirations and requirements.  Quite often we find that a client may have only a relatively uncertain idea of the form of the proposed scheme even if they are certain about what they hope to achieve from the project in terms of additional or enlarged rooms for example.  Between us at Smith Marston, we have decades of experience of designing and specifying a vast array of architectural and refurbishment projects and we are fully aware that it is absolutely essential to get this first stage right.

Beyond this, we have similar detailed and varied experience of adding the technical details to the initial design drawings on refurbishment and architectural design projects to satisfy the Building Regulations and then, if desired, to produce a detailed specification, obtain competitive tenders from contractors and undertake contract administration.
